| Designing and creating I get great satisfaction in designing and creating wedding cakes, from making the smallest leaf to the largest flower. Dusting, air-brushing, arranging, then baking your cake, making sure it is “just right”.This process can take weeks, since most flowers need to be done a bit at a time. Once the cake is covered and assembled, it's a blank canvas and creativity takes over. I am now free to work my magic!! To give you a cake with a “wow” factor!! Looking at the finished cake, I feel a sense of happiness that I did this!! I'm excited for you to see it and think “ yes, this is my cake!!” The making All the ingredients that go into your cake are of the finest quality. Fruits are marinated months in advance to ensure a moist delicious cake, eggs are purchased on day of baking directly from the farmer, browning is made by hand, not store brought. Bespoke If you browse through my site, you will see that no cakes are identical. Your cake will be a one –off, never to be repeated. The prices quoted when we meet and have a consultation are not negotiable because of the craftsmanship, quality and hours dedicated to creating a cake that is uniquely yours. Booking Contacting me without a wedding date is of no use, I need to have a fixed date to check my availability. My cakes are normally very intricately designed and requests for a “simple” cake usually means a “low priced “ cake. I do not design simple or low priced cakes. Sorry. My cakes are made to order and cannot be designed, prepared, baked or decorated quickly, so please ensure that you give me at least 6 weeks-3 months notice. Expectations I know that your wedding is probably the most important day for you and your expectations are high and you are excited and eager to let me know exactly what you want, down to the tiniest detail. Tempering that eagerness will go a long way in ensuring that we are on the same wavelength. Remember I am skilled at what I do and if I think your design is not workable, I will suggest alternatives. |
